Vence Bonham

Vence L. Bonham, JD, is the Senior Advisor to the National Human Genome Research Institute, Director on Genomics and Health Disparities and Associate Investigator in the Social and Behavioral Research Branch, Division of Intramural Research, NHGRI. Mr. Bonham is interested in how genomic discoveries influence social identity, how genomics might influence the use of the constructs of race and ethnicity in biomedical research, and the role of genetics and genomics in understanding racial and ethnic health disparities. Prior to joining the National Institutes of Health, Mr. Bonham was an Associate Professor at Michigan State University in the Colleges of Medicine and Law.
