Ken Bremer is a Director in Germany Trade and Invest’s Chicago office and is responsible for the central part of the U.S.A. and Canada. Mr. Bremer markets business opportunities in Germany through a proactive marketing, communications and investor acquisition campaign, focusing on the Business Services and Logistics sectors.
Ken Bremer began his career in international marketing in Berlin, Germany, in 1991. In the period following the fall of the Berlin Wall, he first served in the “Foreign Investor Information Center” of the German Federal Ministry of Economics in Berlin, created to promote international investment in eastern Germany.
In 1994 he returned to the North America and opened an office of the Foreign Investor Information Center in Chicago, Illinois, this time to market business location Germany in its entirety. In the years since then, Mr. Bremer has lived through several reorganizations, as the German government has consolidated its international business promotion activities over the past fifteen years. He was worked with the Office of the Federal Commissioner for Foreign Investment in Germany, Invest in Germany, and now with Germany Trade and Invest, after a final merger in 1991.
Originally from the state of Minnesota, Ken Bremer holds degrees in History, German, and Secondary Education from the University of Minnesota and the University of St. Thomas.
