Kyriakos S. Markides

Kyriakos S. Markides, PhD, is the Annie & John Gnitzinger Professor of Aging Studies and Director of the Division of Sociomedical Sciences at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He received his PhD in Sociology from Louisiana State University in 1976. He is currently the Principal Investigator of the Hispanic Epidemiological Study of the Elderly (EPESE) and editor of the Journal of Aging and Health (Sage Publications).
