Rayna Rapp, PhD, is Professor and Associate Chair in the Department of Anthropology at New York University. She has published the award-winning book, Testing Women, Testing the Fetus: the Social Impact of Amniocentesis in America, as well as many articles on the subjects of gender and health, genetic testing, disability, and the politics of reproduction.
