The summit builds on that footprint, focusing on promoting and building the international trade capacity of Texas businesses and economic development organizations while creating greater awareness regarding the benefits of exporting.<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\">Texas-European Union quick facts:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Total Texas export to Europe in 2013 exceeded $37.4 billion, an increase of 41% since 2010.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">In 2013,\u00a0 the Top Five Texas exports to Europe by sector were \u00a0petroleum and coal products \u2013 31.7%, chemicals \u2013 20.2%, computers and electronics \u2013 13.0%, machinery \u2013 10.4%, and transportation equipment 7.2%<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">The Netherlands, UK, and France are the leading FDI sources in Texas.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">If the TTIP, a proposed US-EU trade agreement, comes into effect, Texas is placed to be a major beneficiary.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">The\u00a0<em>2014 Texas-EU Business Summit<\/em>\u00a0sessions were led by business leaders, trade and investment
