{"id":176,"date":"2012-04-12T15:54:53","date_gmt":"2012-04-12T15:54:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/texaseusummit.org\/?page_id=176"},"modified":"2012-04-12T15:54:53","modified_gmt":"2012-04-12T15:54:53","slug":"simon-collingwood","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/conferences.la.utexas.edu\/texaseusummit\/presenters\/simon-collingwood\/","title":{"rendered":"Simon Collingwood"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Simon has worked for the British Government in a range of capacities since June 1999.\u00a0 During that time he has held a series of positions supporting the Government&#8217;s commercial diplomacy efforts.\u00a0 Highlights include: economic monitoring, analysis and reporting from Beijing; UK expert counsel on all EU-bilateral and regional free trade agreements;\u00a0and commercial analysis and reporting in Sydney.<\/p>\n<p>For the last three years, Simon oversaw the Government&#8217;s largest overseas commercial presence from the headquarters in New York.\u00a0 He moved to Houston in June 2011 to lead the UK Government\u2019s commercial effort across the southern USA with teams embedded in the Consulates in Houston, Miami and Atlanta.
