Hosted Receptions at the NAISA Annual Meeting
NAISA Council invites departments, programs, organizations, and interest groups who wish to host a reception or social gathering during our annual meeting to please submit a letter of request to Council, through the sitting President. For the June 2014 meeting in Austin, submit request letters to Tsianina Lomawaima at lomawaim@email.arizona.edu.
Hosted Receptions cannot be scheduled to overlap with official NAISA sessions and events on the Program, but may be scheduled by the host group on meeting days (June 13-15, 2014) at any open time before or after official Program events. In addition, University of Saskatchewan local hosts have booked 12 rooms available for meetings on June 12, the day before the conference starts. Host groups are responsible to select their time, based on the sessions scheduled and posted in the Preliminary Program, which will be posted to the meeting website by late January/early February: http://www.naisa.usask.ca/.
Host groups are responsible for arranging their meeting room or space, and any refreshments. Please contact XXXX for assistance in contacting venues and caterers to reserve room space or order refreshments.
Hosted Receptions will be charged a fee, to cover the cost of a quarter-page ad in the Program. The Reception will be included in the daily guide to events in the official Program, as well as appearing in the ad.
